Spring Session, 2013

Welcome BACK! You have found my school site. This is the resource page I have set up as a way for me to digitally share information with you that pertains to your classwork, and course of study. On here you will find information on topics covered in class, all of your assignments, additional information about other "notable" design thoughts, and possibly other newsworthy topics.

As we move out of the the holiday season and into the spring session, we begin a new year and a new journey on your road toward completing your degree. I myself am also a student with you this time around. I am attenging the Savannah College of Art and Design for my MFA in Interactive Design and Game Development. I know FIRST HAND what it is like to be a full time student, full time employee, full time father as well as a part time teacher, ice hockey player, video game player and father of a new born. You will have ZERO excuss this term as to when to find time to complete your work. Put in your best efforts here and the return you receive will be a synegistic result: that which will be greater than the sum of it's parts. Please refer to my GUIDELINES page for a review of what will be expected of you this term.

I went to a "PAPERLESS" classroom in 2011... and many of my students have rejoiced at the availability of all of their class work here on this site. Other than the sylabus and final written exams, I will rarely (if ever) hand out paperwork for you to keep track of. This term will be no different. In return, I will not accept ANY print outs of my assignments. You will email me all of you work before 8:55 AM for the day of your class. Sketches, thumbnails and any math homework are about the ONLY exception to this rule. You willI do this for two reasons:
1. It is a waste of paper.
2. They often times get "lost" on their way to me, or back to you.

Additionally, e-mail can serve as proof (hey are time-stamped) that you completed the assignment and sent it to me. You can finish your assignment(s) and either e-mail them to me (if it is under 2MB) or hand them in on a flash drive (I will always have a drive available for assignments... you will not need to buy one.)

If an assignment cannot be assigned "paperless" or turned in "paperless" I will of course accept or provide the required printouts. However, I would like to limit the amount of "printed" assignments I hand out to you though so it will be YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to visit this site and retrieve the pdf files.

ACTIVE assignments will have a link that looks like this link.
This means you can access the .pdf for it.

INACTIVE assignments will have a link that looks like this link.
This means you can not access the .pdf for it.
